Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Humanoid Benchmark and the Xodexa Humanoid Index (XHI), including humanoidindex.io and the associated API (together, the "Site"), operated by autogovern.io ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. What the Site is

The Site is an independent research project that scores and ranks humanoid robots on a 0–100 scale (the XHI) across six weighted pillars, using specifications and facts gathered from public sources — company announcements, press coverage, filings, and similar material — each cited on the corresponding robot page. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any company or product it covers. See our Methodology page for how scores are computed.

3. Not professional, financial, or investment advice

Nothing on the Site — including XHI scores, rankings, comparisons, or any funding/valuation figures we display — is financial, investment, legal, or professional advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, invest in, or enter into any transaction involving any company or security. Funding and valuation figures are sourced from public reporting and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making any financial or business decision.

4. Data accuracy — provided "as is"

We make a good-faith effort to cite at least two independent sources for every robot's specifications and to grade each figure with a confidence level (high, medium, or low), as shown on every robot page. Even so, specifications for early-stage and rapidly-evolving hardware are frequently revised, disputed, or based on manufacturer claims that cannot be independently verified. The Site and all of its content — scores, rankings, specifications, text, and data — are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. If you notice an error, please tell us — see Section 9 — and check our public Changelog, which documents dataset updates that go through our standard research/review process.

5. Acceptable use

You may browse the Site, use the comparison and search tools, and use the public /api/ endpoints, /sitemap.xml, and /llms.txt for personal, research, journalistic, or commercial reference purposes, including linking to and citing our scores and data with attribution. You agree not to:

• Interfere with, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on the Site or its infrastructure (for example, high-volume automated scraping that ignores /robots.txt);
• Misrepresent XHI scores or our data as being endorsed by, or the official position of, any company or robot covered on the Site;
• Use the Site to violate any applicable law, or to infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party; or
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the administrative review-queue tool or any other non-public part of the Site.

6. Intellectual property

The Site's own original content — the XHI methodology and its written explanation, our scoring engine and computed scores, page design, and original text — is owned by autogovern.io or its licensors and is protected by copyright, as described further in our Copyright Notice. Company names, product/robot names, and logos appearing on the Site are trademarks of their respective owners, used solely to identify the robots and companies we cover, as described in our Trademark Notice. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that third-party intellectual property to you or to us.

7. Links to third-party sites

Every robot and company page links out to the third-party sources we used — company sites, press coverage, and similar. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Following an outbound link is at your own discretion.

8. Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided without warranties of any kind, and autogovern.io disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, autogovern.io will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9. Corrections and takedown requests

If you represent a company or robot covered on the Site and believe a fact, image, or attribution is incorrect or should be removed, contact us at governance@autogovern.io — see also our Copyright Notice for the image/attribution takedown process specifically. We aim to review and, where warranted, correct or remove the material promptly. Corrections made through our standard dataset research/review process are documented on our public Changelog; direct fixes we make outside that process (for example, in response to a takedown request) may not always appear there.

10. Changes to the Site or these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the effective date above will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in that state.
